THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SOUTH ALABAMA AWARDS NEARLY $500,000 TO LOCAL NONPROFITS

The Community Foundation of South Alabama (Foundation) is pleased to announce it has awarded $499,749 to 37 nonprofit organizations across its eight-county footprint in Southwest Alabama. These funds support programs that will increase access to high-quality arts and culture and increase mental and physical health support to promote overall health and wellness within the region. The grant awards were made possible through the support of the Foundation’s discretionary funds, field of interest funds and supporting organization funds.

"We are proud to support organizations that are creating positive impact across our region,” said Community Foundation of South Alabama President & CEO Rebecca Byrne. “These grants represent our shared commitment to strengthening communities, expanding opportunities, and building a brighter future together."
