THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SOUTH ALABAMA CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF IMPACT AND COMMUNITY SERVICE

The Community Foundation of South Alabama (CFSA) is proud to announce the celebration of its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of service, leadership, and lasting impact in southwest Alabama. Since our founding in 1976, CFSA has remained committed to our mission of bringing together and directing philanthropic assets to make southwest Alabama a better place.

Over the past 50 years, CFSA has worked alongside donors, partners, and community leaders to award scholarships, support nonprofits, and strengthen and improve the quality of life in the eight counties we serve.

“This milestone is an opportunity to reflect on the legacy we’ve built together and to look ahead with renewed purpose,” said Rebecca Byrne, President and CEO of CFSA. “Our 50th anniversary honors the generosity, vision, and dedication of everyone who has helped shape our work.”

Throughout our anniversary year, CFSA will commemorate this milestone with a series of special initiatives, stories, and events that celebrate our history while highlighting our vision for the future.

“As we celebrate 50 years, we are not just honoring our past, we are investing in the future,” added Byrne. “The needs of our community continue to evolve, and we are committed to meeting those needs with innovation, collaboration, and compassion.”
